Every now and then I like to take a step back and look at the tools I actually use every day. Here’s what my setup looks like right now.
Hardware
- MacBook Pro — my daily driver for everything
Editor & Terminal
- VS Code — my primary editor for quick edits and frontend work
- JetBrains (IDEA / WebStorm) — for heavier projects, especially backend
- Ghostty — a fast, minimal terminal that just works
- Claude Code — AI-assisted development right in the terminal
Browser
- Chrome — tried others, keep coming back
Apps I Rely On
- Notion — notes, planning, and everything in between
- Feishu — team communication and collaboration
- Apple Music — the soundtrack to everything
Dev Stack
I like building things end to end:
- Frontend — React, Vue, Astro (what this blog is built with), Tailwind CSS
- Backend — Node.js, Go, Python, Java
- AI / LLM — building with large language models, exploring what’s possible
Philosophy
I don’t chase every new tool that drops. I prefer things that are fast, simple, and get out of my way. If something works, I’ll keep using it until it doesn’t.
This list will change — that’s the whole point. I’ll update it when it does.
